The Y11 basketball team qualified for the Borough Final in emphatic fashion by beating Grey Court 68-22 at Christ’s this evening. The hosts pulling out of the tournament allowed the teams to play a full 48 minute match and gain some vital court time for the final. RPA took an early lead on the fast break and were by far the stronger team in terms of size, teamwork and technique.

The end of 2011 was a good one for Richmond Park Academy. Musically, we put on two wonderful performances, both in the same penultimate week, and both a testimony to the extraordinary dedication and hard work of Ms Fairbairn, Subject Leader for music and dance.

Drum roll please….  WE WON! Six academies from across the country took part and Richmond Park Academy came out as the Gold Medal winners! Kiran, Roshaunna and Niamh were the three winners from our Year 7 semi-final and they went up against the equivalent three students from academies such as Bexley Heath, Felixstowe and Maltings.  The first two rounds saw only two or three students drop out from other academies and so the stakes were raised for the third round where Niamh came up again...
