This is a proposal for the new Richmond Park Academy to be opened on the site of the Shene School in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in September 2010.

If approved by the Secretary of State, the sponsor will be the Academies Enterprise Trust.

AET have a proven track record of working closely with many schools throughout the country to achieve significant improvements in standards.

The proposed Academy will form part of an expanding network of Academies currently including four operating in Essex, two further Academies planned in the London Borough of Enfield, one in Felixstowe in Suffolk and two on the Isle of Wight.

It will work under a single management structure led by the Academies Enterprise Trust and have its own Governing Body.
