The Pupil Premium is a Government grant designed to help disadvantaged children and young people do well at school. The funding is allocated for students who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years, and those who are in care.

This additional funding is given to schools to help raise the attainment of eligible students, and narrow the gap between their attainment and their peers. However, not all students who are disadvantaged or vulnerable are eligible or registered for free school meals and not all students who are eligible for free school meals are disadvantaged. Therefore at Richmond Park Academy, we allocate the Pupil Premium fund to support any student or groups of students who are vulnerable or identified as a priority by the Academy’s pastoral monitoring and tracking systems.
