On the evening of Tuesday 11 November, nine of Richmond Park Academy’s students attended the Jack Petchey Foundation ‘Achievement Award’ ceremony at Richmond Theatre with Richmond Mayor - Councillor Jane Boulton. This is the charity’s flagship programme, which is a reward and achievement scheme to celebrate the achievements of young people.
The Jack Petchey Award is presented to young people who are ‘outstanding achievers’, and we could not agree more. With many congratulations to: Michaela B (Year 8); Eva C (Year 9); Ella S (Year 9); Maisie H (Year 9); Sholajah R (Year 11); Mia SL (Year 11); Patrycja C (Year 11); Morgan J (Year 11); and Zunaira M (Year 12). All of whom received their award on stage as part of the ceremony and are photographed below with Councillor Boulton.
Michaela (Year 8) comments: “I was nominated for the award by my peers because they said my behaviour was always good and because I help people when they are hurt or worried. I felt nervous getting my award on stage but I feel very proud. It has been an extraordinary experience getting this award. I would like to thank everyone involved who has made this possible.”
