David Heath, RPA's Chair of Governors has confirmed that Senior Vice Principal, Ms Tracey O'Brien, will become Acting Head of School following Lesley Kirby's move to Kingsley Academy in January, and for the whole period pending our appointment of a permanent Principal.  Ms O’Brien and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team will also have executive support from AET during this time.

Ms O’Brien is well qualified to take on this role. Prior to joining RPA 3 years ago she was Senior Deputy Head of an outstanding secondary school and Director of a National Teaching School. She delivered courses on leadership and outstanding teaching practices. She is also an Advanced Skills Teacher and a London Commissioner Teacher (awarded by the Department of Education). Since joining RPA, Ms O'Brien has been using her extensive experience to build our academic 6th form. She is also currently studying for an EdD in leading teaching.

Ms O'Brien said, "I'm very excited to be taking on the acting role. RPA is a fantastic school, going from strength to strength each year. It's wonderful  that we have an improving school that our local children can attend with confidence. With the continuing support from staff, students and parents I will do everything I can to ensure that our excellent progress continues over the coming months."
