“A resounding, sparkly success!”

The second Christmas Market and Christmas Tree Sale was a bustling, festive delight on Saturday. The PTA’s Christmas Tree Sale and refreshments did an amazing job making a very healthy profit of £579 – all money that will be ploughed back into the school. The Christmas Market, organised by 6th form students and the 6th form team, was double the size of last year with something for everybody ranging from festive jewellery and table centrepieces through to chutney, Christmas decorations and cards made by our Technology Department. The Christmas Market made £800. However, it’s not just about the fundraising. The donations before the day from parents and staff across the school threatened to overrun the 6th form office and the teamwork on show throughout the day was a joy to see. A big thank you to everyone! To paraphrase Ms Kirby, the day was a “resounding, sparkly success. A fabulous turnout, wonderful stalls, quality and quantity – truly heart-warming. I was proud to be there”.
