Richmond Park Academy supported the Macmillan, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, on Friday 25 September. Our Student Council ran a cake sale and raised an impressive £136.92. The Student Council are a group of passionate young people who believe that having a voice can, and will, result in the best possible school culture. They have been elected by their peers via anonymous statements to represent the voice of the students here at RPA.

They meet regularly to discuss significant issues surrounding every day school life and issues in the local community. The Macmillan initiative was one of many fundraising and local community projects they will get involved in across the year.

Their efforts galvanised the staff into action who ran their own coffee morning in the staff room matching the student fundraising. Macmillan at the time of writing had raised a huge £867,563 and RPA are delighted to be part of that total.
