On Monday 22 April, 12 GCSE Business Studies students visited British Airways headquarters at Heathrow Airport as part of their social media course. On arrival, several students dressed up in official airline uniforms and greeted the other students onto the mock cabin where an introductory quiz was held, as well as an insight into how BA uses social media to portray its business.
The students were then fortunate enough to be taken around the main headquarters which has its own village running through it and were able to tour the museum with artefacts from throughout the company’s history.
The students were then set a task of developing their own social media campaign using Facebook to promote a new incentive to customers. The ideas from the students impressed all and summed up what was a very fun, enjoyable and informative day.
