This year’s First Give programme came to a conclusion last week at the final presentation to secure £1500. Over eight lessons, 30 Year 9 students identified social issues in our area and engaged with the local charities that address them. They then presented the case for their chosen charity at the final presentation to a panel which included the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Councillor David Linnette, Year 10 Leader Ms Hunter, Governor Ann Hahlo and Fundraising Campaigns Manager for East Sheen based charity, Missing People, Bryony Long.

Ms Long summed up the evening when she said, “The students had clearly put lots of hard work into their presentations and seeing them actively engaging with local charities was brilliant.” HEAT Co-ordinator, Mr Potapov said, "Every group produced genuine and high quality presentations but the winners were groups representing REACT, Macmillan and Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness."
