We were delighted to welcome groups of children from two of our locality primaries, East Sheen Primary and Holy Trinity CofE Primary School, who had opportunity to see the high standard of work produced at GCSE level. They were given activities to do in our art room, view some of the amazing work produced in textiles, including some fantastic fashionista skirts, cushions and masks, have a go at programming in our computer suite, see some of the amazing woodwork and taste some of the delights produced by our food technology students.
One Holy Trinity pupil, when asked to do a drawing to interpret his favourite piece of artwork, said: "I just don't know which one to pick because they are all so good!"
Sara Alexis, Director of the Technology Faculty, commented: "We are very proud of the standard of work produced by our art and technology students. It therefore seemed fitting to display as much of this work as possible so that everyone else can see what is produced by our faculty.
It has also been fantastic to have so many of our local primary school children visit us. We have an extensive transition programme at RPA and this is one of the many opportunities that we offer in order to provide more insight into life at secondary school."
