Kareem excels in international judo competitions

This article is taken from an email from Kareem's mother. Kareem is a Year 7 student at Richmond Park Academy.

We are very proud to share with you the achievements of Kareem in his judo competitions for the last two weeks.

Kareem is an orange belt judo player and plays at the weight of under 38kg. This year Kareem has demonstrated excellent skills to improve on the previous in international competitions.

On Saturday 28 June Kareem took part and played in the Judo Kent International Competition at Crystal Palace and won one match out of three against competitors from all over the world.

The week before, Kareem was chosen to represent the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and played judo in the youth games at Crystal Palace. Kareem reached the finals but lost by one point.

We are very proud of his fair play and hard work in addition to his willingness and insistence to reach these stages and he is determined to go forward from here for the next matches and games to achieve better and higher records.

Kareem would be very happy to tell you in person the details of these matches and how tough they were.
