Friday 28 June saw 350 Year 4 pupils from our local primary schools descend upon Richmond Park Academy for our inaugural Life in a day at RPA. With the RPA students attending rewards trips after their end of year exams, the Year 4s took their place in order to experience what it’s really like to be a student in secondary school. They worked tremendously with peers from other schools, participating in lessons that ranged from art to technology, PE to psychology and music to maths.

The brilliant RPA ambassadors led a tour of the school campus, including the exciting building works that are currently taking place. According to the pupils, lunch was also a highlight, which saw a chance to play a variety of sports and make some new friends (whilst digesting the delicious food prepared by the fabulous canteen staff). The afternoon saw more lessons, including a CSI investigation in science and debating about a zombie apocalypse in philosophy. Pupils then reconvened for an assembly and parents had the chance to meet and greet the RPA staff over afternoon tea! It was a brilliant day - thank you to all involved!
