Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures has produced some of the most successful dance theatre productions of the last 25 years including Swan Lake, Nutcracker!, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Now the company brings to the stage a thrilling new dance production of William Golding’s classic novel 'Lord of the Flies'. The action is transferred from deserted island to deserted theatre. A group of schoolboys find themselves abandoned. With no adults around they start to make their own rules and create their own civilisation, before order breaks down and the story builds to an electrifying climax.

The New Adventures team have been auditioning schools all over London to find their new cast. Over the past month they have seen over 900 boys and young men through a series of workshops in schools and Open Calls. Out of this number only 150 boys have been selected to attend on Saturday 19 July at Sadler’s Wells. RPA are thrilled to announce that out of the ten boys that auditioned when New Adventures came to our school, four have been invited to second round auditions. Samuel CH (Year 8), Malachi W (Year 7), Tayeon J (Year 8), Joel FG (Year 8) and Noah N (Year 9) have reached the final stage of the selection process for the 'Lord of the Flies' Production!

This really is a huge achievement, we're all very proud and wish them the best of luck with their next audition! The production is choreographed by Olivier Award-nominated Scott Ambler, set and costume design by Olivier Award-winner Lez Brotherston, music by Terry Davies, lighting design by Chris Davey, sound design by Paul Groothuis, adapted and directed by Olivier and Tony award-winner Matthew Bourne and Scott Ambler. It is set to be a chilling and hugely entertaining - Click here to see more.
