RPA student chess masters show their mettle

Chess Coach, Tim Mortimer, visited RPA last week and shared a “simultaneous” session with 21 RPA chess masters. Tim said, “"This is the second time I have been invited to come to RPA and I was very impressed by the size and level of interest at the chess club. You have a lot of good and fast developing players in the school and the improvement in solving tactics puzzles and standard of play compared to last time I was over in April was very noticeable. In the simultaneous display I did there were some very long and hard-fought games and I was extremely lucky to escape with a draw in my game against Y8 Rowan.”
