RPA students cater American themed 'Meet the Parents' #Fabulous

Every year Richmond Park Academy hosts what we call 'Meet the Parents', which is part of our transition package . We invite the parents of Year 4, 5 and 6 children to an evening where they have the opportunity to meet the parents of current RPA students in order to find out from them what life at RPA is all about. But this year was a little different!

Our GCSE catering students have a requirement as part of their course to plan, prepare and cater for an event and so they were set the challenge of catering for our 'Meet the Parents' evening. They certainly did not disappoint and more than rose to the challenge with their American themed and all homemade and prepared from scratch: mini burgers (they even baked the buns); potato wedges; hot dogs; brownies; cupcakes; and milkshakes.

The quality and standard of what these Year 11s delivered was just fabulous and our visiting parents were singing their praises with comments such as: "Absolutely delicious"; "I am genuinely so impressed"; "Such creativity - not only is the food fantastic but the presentation is excellent too"; "What a fabulous group of young people".

Pictured below are just a few of the delights that the catering students produced:
