RPA Students celebrate opening of new buildings at their old school

posted 1 Feb 2016, 07:24 by Michele Colt
Two RPA ambassadors, Seraphina Evans and Oliver Davies, were invited to Sheen Mount today to take part in the opening of impressive new buildings at their old primary school and to hand over, on behalf of Richmond Park Academy  a present of specially selected books to mark the occasion. They were warmly welcomed to this very special ceremony by Headteacher Ian Hutchings, and invited  on a tour of the new classrooms, library, play areas and huge, light-filled studio. As well as the official presentation during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Mr Hutchings arranged for our ambassadors to linger in the library, meet some library users and hand over the new books personally to them.   Seraphina and Oliver thoroughly enjoyed their visit, were pleased to have been chosen to represent their school and are looking forward very much to welcoming yet more Sheen Mounters when they join them at RPA in the future.
