63 students in Year 8 and 9 participated in the Sea Cadets Marine Engineering Pathway (MEP) workshop last week. The session focussed on the scientific principles behind buoyancy and displacement and brought to students attention career opportunities in Marine Engineering. They designed and built their own boats and were challenged to create a boat that could hold the most marbles. Pupils were required to work in teams to design and create an engineering solution. Congratulations to Ariana J and Hiba S who built the winning Year 9 boat which successfully held a magnificent 244 marbles and t
he winning year 8 team of Farah S, Freya B and Evie D.
