Richmond Park Academy welcomed World Book Day on Thursday 5 March with an array of astonishing fancy dress to illustrate our favourite reads.

Students and staff alike (60% of the latter and numerous of the former) dressed to kill, thrill and instil a sense of fun and a sharing of much-loved books with their peers.

Characters ranged from the sublime (Mary Poppins) to the scary (Lord Voldemort) to the ridiculous ('Saucepan Man') and the classic (Cat in the Hat). Others such as Gandalf, Alice in Wonderland and Katniss Everdeen also made an appearance on the day!

Most amazingly, two students appeared as characters from their OWN books that they had written themselves - we were so proud.
