Emilia in Y7 set the judges' taste buds tingling this week when she won the local heats at the South Thames Future Chef Competition. The competition, now in its 16th year was launched to encourage young people to view the catering industry as a genuine career choice. Entrants were asked to deliver a 2 course meal for £7 or under. Emilia created a highly praised minestrone soup followed by poached pears and chocolate sauce. She now goes on to the next stage of the competition. Well done Emilia!
