Zac Goldsmith, MP opened Richmond Park Academy’s, Café Walls Art Exhibition – Portraits, People, Nature at the OSO in Barnes on Monday 18th July. Mr Goldmsith is no stranger to RPA having opened it as a newly created academy in 2010 and opened previous art exhibitions. He said, “I was thrilled to be invited to open the exhibition, and strongly agree with Ms Cronin that this year’s work is better than ever.  I know how much hard work that these students have put in over many months, and they should be very proud of what they have accomplished. The artwork is truly inspiring and Ms Cronin deserves huge credit for helping to get the best out of her students.”
He added; “It was also good to visit the OSO Art Centre after the refurbishment. It’s a wonderful venue, and I look forward to attending many other exhibitions and events here.”."

Art has always been one of the flagship successes of the academy. In this showcase of Year 11 GCSE exam pieces, students were free to choose the style and medium in which to work which has resulted in a diverse and imaginative collection. The exhibition runs from Monday 18th July to Saturday 30th July. All are welcome to attend.
