Churchill Bulldogs clean sweep!

posted 9 May 2016, 07:21 by Michele Colt
2 Y7’s, Joseph Durling and Sam Robert-Nicoud, made it a Churchill Bulldogs clean sweep at this year’s House Table Tennis tournament last Friday. Both boys displayed real skill in the final with an impressive use of spin and power. It was Joseph who prevailed winning the final in two straight games with great touch and awareness around the table. However, there were some exceptional rallies and Sam should feel very proud of a great performance.

It was Nightingale’s Fox, Solly Pinner and St George’s Dragon, Matthew Ternouth who fought it out for 3rd and 4th spot in a very tight affair. Matthew took the first game but Solly was not to be denied eventually winning 11-9 in the 3rd game. A very exciting match!

There were some fantastic performances across the tournament and a lot of players determined to do better next time! Well done to all those who participated and to our 2016 champion, Joseph!
