On Thursday 19 December RPA students are involved in The FA's 150 year anniversary celebrations. Some KS3 students will be taking part in a memorial service for The FA's founder, Ebenezer Morley at his graveside at Barnes common. This service will be attended by former professional players and officials from The FA and quite a few members of the press. Morley, who later became secretary and chairman of the FA, organised the first official football match in 1863 at Barn Elms between Barnes and Richmond. To commemorate this match, the Year 11 team are playing a match against Christ's later in the morning at Barn Elms with the FA providing kit in the colours of the original teams. The students are extremely excited to be involved!
