The windy weather was not enough to stop the junior rounders team taking to the field to compete against Teddington for the second time in four days. The girls last came up against Teddington in the Junior Rounders Tournament on Friday where they unfortunately lost 4½ - 3.

The girls had had a good warm up this time and were focused, prepared and excited for the rematch against Teddington. After losing the coin toss the girls stepped up to bat first. The girls made consistent good progress with half rounders adding to the score. Some silly mistakes and excellent fielding from Teddington led to four girls getting out and ending the batting innings on three rounders. Teddington had some exceptional batters with the ball being nearly hit out of the school grounds! The girls worked well to keep on top of their fielding skills with clear progress and real teamwork being shown as the girls continued in this innings. The first innings score was RPA 3 - Teddington 4.

The second innings was again really well fielded by the other team with some great catches and fast throws to get the girls out and stop them scoring. This was disappointing in their batting as the girls are capable of much higher scores. The final score was 5½. Teddington then went in to bat knowing they only needed two rounders to win. Our fielding however was perfect. Every single girl played outstandingly with amazing catches, teamwork, accurate calls and brilliant tactics which rattled Teddington. They started to make silly mistakes and RPA continued to dominate through their great play. After getting seven of the nine girls out throughout the innings they only managed to get half a rounder in the entire innings.

Final score 5½ RPA - Teddington 4½. The girls played absolutely amazingly and should be really proud of themselves.
