We have teamed up with the Golf Foundation and Richmond Park Golf Club to deliver a golfing opportunity to our students, which will also benefit other local children from the area.

First we will train 12 of our students from Year 9 - 11 to be Sports Leaders, working alongside a golf pro from Richmond Park Golf Club, Stuart, who will work with our children for one hour per week for the next 15 weeks.

We have also been given a bag of Golf Xtreme equipment and some leader packs, so our Sports Leaders will be able to share the skills they are learning by assisting at local school competitions and primary school coaching sessions.

Our students will play street golf and Golf Xtreme at school, before taking their skills to Palewell Pitch and Putt. Eventually, they will be invited to Richmond Park Golf Club to use the driving range and their academy course.

This type of satellite programme will give our students the opportunity to experience a new sport, as a player and a coach, before moving into a real golf club environment.

With thanks to all those who have supported this initiative.
