Year 7/8 1st XI: Richmond Park Academy 4 Christ's School 1
Year 7/8 2nd XI: Richmond Park Academy 5 Christ's School 1

Report by Ms Bird

Tuesday evening saw the enthusiastic Year 7 and 8 girls take to the all-weather surface for their second match of the season against Christ's School.

In the RPA kit the girls looked very professional, this matched their attitude and behaviour as well as their playing skills. The first team (see picture, left) played a brilliant game with excellent use of space, passing and communication between team members and year groups. At half time the match was a 1-1 draw with some great saves and also attempts from the RPA team.

The second half saw continued great play from all players, in particular Becky who scored a goal within the first few minutes of her gracing the pitch. She, along with the other members of the team, worked hard to increase the lead in this half. The girls had a great victory where they won 4 - 1. Maddy scored one and Becky scored a hat-trick, also a mention to Danielle who was awarded Player of the Match.

The second team (pictured on right) also did really well with great communication, passing and constantly giving options on the ball. The midfield and strikers worked together to work the ball around until they had a possible option. Wendy did some excellent movement around the field and scored three brilliant goals in the first half. The second half saw this flare and brilliant play continue where the girls won 5-1, where Wendy won Player of the Match.
