On a windy afternoon, RPA came up against a well organised Christ's team in their first fixture of the season. RPA managed to show glimpses of excellence in the field, with the bat and whilst bowling. However, after a good effort RPA came up short in the final hurdle.

Christ’s School v Richmond Park Academy
Report by Mr Cowley
RPA started the game in the field after winning the toss. Finn R and Finn H opened the bowling, where Finn H got a wicket on his first delivery. Lloyd and Jaiden came in first change to mix up the line-up, and Jaiden showed some clinical bowling. Our bowling attack finished with Margub and Freddie minimising the total scored by Christ’s to 92 runs.
RPA came out to chase the target set by Christ’s with Jack and Ehtsham opening the batting providing a solid foundation for our lower order. After a selection of shots, Ehtsham established a quick ten runs. Lloyd came in to bat and was able to find the gap in the field, where he demonstrated a good eye which enabled him to retire on 20 (not out). Finn H, Jaiden and Dan R came in to finish the match off, however they couldn’t reach the high total set by Christ’s. Although RPA battled right through to the end Christ’s were able to close out the game with some clinical bowling and tight fielding.
Totals: Christ’s School 92 for 4, RPA 66 for 4. Christ's School won by 26 runs.
Squad: Lloyd, Jack, Finn H, Finn R, Jaiden, Danny, Ehtsham, Marghub, Sean, Freddie
