The Year 7 girls performed amazingly in the most recent match against Waldegrave School.

Monday 2 February 2015
Richmond Park Academy 8 Waldegrave School 12
Report by Ms Bird

With excellent marking and some great passes and teamwork it was a very close first quarter with one goal in it. The second quarter saw the continued pressure from RPA keep the small gap between the teams with a final score of 4-6. The great teamwork allowed great interceptions as well as brilliant outwitting of the opposing team.

After half time Waldegrave started to take a bigger lead but the effort from RPA was relentless and they worked really well to keep the pace and energy. There was great work to get the ball down to the RPA end but unfortunately the baskets were not going in which led to this quarter ending in 6-12.

The girls were determined to catch up and came out with fighting spirit for the last quarter, they managed to halt any more goals being scored from Waldegrave and even scored a goal themselves. The final score was 8-12 to Waldegrave and I am unbelievably proud of how well all the girls performed and their determination and effort throughout. A huge congratulations to all players, in particular Hazel who was awarded player of the match.

Squad: Hazel, Maddy, Vera, Sophie P-H, Betty, Rosaline and Seraphina
