The fresh Year 7 team took to the basketball court with enthusiasm and professionalism last week to face St Richard Reynolds School in their second match of the season. As a new group, some with little basketball experience previously, they showed some excellent promise in their movement and teamwork on court which progressed and developed throughout the game.

Report by Ms Bird

St Richard Reynolds had some excellent players which led to an early lead, the score reading 10-0 at half time. The girls never gave up and showed excellent resilience and determination as they entered the second half of the match. Combinations and plays between players started to come together which led to some brilliant baskets being scored for RPA. The end of the third quarter finished with a score of 14-6. The last quarter showed great work and some excellent defensive play as well as brilliant rebounds leading to goal opportunities. The end result was 18-8 to St Richards Reynolds.

A huge congratulations to the team for their wonderful performance, effort and maturity throughout the match.
